With 2023 comes a new journey and another busy time for our team! First, the chapter is proud to announce and introduce two new Board members, and the Executive Assistant to the Board…

The AIA Canada Chapter Board engaged in an internal strategy session earlier this fall led by our Director of DEI, Pauline Thimm. The goal was to explore the Mission, Vision, Core Values and Goals of AIA National and how we can best align and implement for our Canadian Members.

AIA Canada Society continues to reach out and expand on our initiatives to promote services to our members. In addition to partnership with Canadian Architect magazine (which features a quarterly profile of AIA Canada Journal), we are partnering with the Architect’s Newspaper to provide members with a discount for attending the Facades+ Toronto event coming up on July 21.

In November 2021, AIA Canada reached a significant milestone in the advancement of our Chapter, receiving formal accreditation from AIA National. This creates a solid foundation from which we can further envision what our Chapter means to us.

Dear Colleagues,

We made it - another year in our journey! When I look back at the last twelve months, there are many positive accomplishments. While I could list many more, I would like to highlight these four.

I like to think that we have risen to the challenges that the pandemic has thrown at us. I cannot stress how grateful and impressed I am with how everyone has adapted to the most difficult of times.
