President’s Letter

Hello, Everyone!
Welcome to AIA International’s Newsletter of 2022 for Q2.
The second quarter was a very busy and important one for us. Major highlights included our most superb Spring Virtual Conference AIAISC’22, our popular Quarterly Country Rep Networking event, Continental Europe’s Porto Conference, the Nigerian Institutes of Architects’ Lagos Architects Forum, and, of course, A’22.
A’22 was very special. For many of us, it had been a long time since we got to travel internationally, to the USA, and for AIA International Members it was a chance to meet face-to-face, in many cases, for the first time. We held our hybrid AGM on site, where everyone could report on goings on, as well as confirm our election results (this time for Secretary 2023-2024 - Many Congratulations to Segene Park!).
Also at A’22, AIA International’s Design Awards exhibit was proudly displayed on the Expo Floor for all to see, demonstrating the high level work that AIA International members have been doing around the world.
A lot of the above and Q2 in general have paved the way for our next quarter’s main activities – the 2022 Design Awards, for which submissions are open, and our London 2022 Conference: Transformations. Registration for the latter is open; book by 31 July to take advantage of the early bird rates!
Q2’s Newsletter describes in detail all the above and much more. Your fellow members have been contributing a lot – many are noticing all your worthwhile efforts. We still need you and welcome you to do more as an AIA International member.
