Matt is well known in the green building industry for his advocacy of sustainability both at work and in his private life. With over 28 years of experience Matt was recognized in 2017 as one of the most exceptional professionals in the green building industry, and honoured with GBCI’s most prestigious designation award as a LEED Fellow for his significant contributions to the green building community.
In addition to his leadership in LEED he became one of the first WELL Accredited Professional in Alberta and is working on the first WELL project in Alberta, and just recently became a Fitwel Ambassador. He has been active in the promotion of other third-party verified green building rating systems such as Living Building Challenge, Built Green, Green Globes, the CaGBC’s Net Zero Carbon certification and more.
Matt’s work and credibility in the industry has been proven time and again by his outstanding leadership in the green building movement. He motivates all of us to continue the charge forward in creating sustainable, healthy and connected communities through the built environment.
Matt has worked on the research and delivery of sustainable solutions in Europe and Canada and he has presented on sustainability around the world.
