The Manila Summer Conference 2024 held on August 30 brought together architectural and design professionals for a hybrid event focused on health, well-being, and sustainable design. With approximately 40 in-person attendees and up to 200 online participants per session, the conference served as a platform for exchanging knowledge on pressing contemporary architectural issues.
A simultaneous live session was also hosted in Vietnam at the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM) at the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, expanding the event's collaborative reach. Esteemed speakers such as Yew Kee Cheong, Manon Sora Koestoer, and Daniel Lichauco presented in person, while Melanie Freeland, Huynh Van Khang, and James Lu joined online.
The event, moderated by Cathy Saldaña, took place at the Dexterton Showroom in BGC, where Ms. Audrey Go graciously showcased the venue featuring the Brizo Frank Lloyd Wright Collection. Co-organized by PDP + Architecture, EAROPH Philippines, and UAP Diliman, the conference fostered collaboration and innovative discussions aimed at advancing sustainable architectural practices.
