Summary
AIA International’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) was once again held online this year on Wednesday 3 July, to enable members around the world to participate.
AIA International Board members gave reports on the year 2023-2024; these included the President’s report, the Treasurer’s report and updates from the At-Large Directors. Following this, we received updates from the Chapter Directors, and for the first time, the Section Representatives, on their local initiatives.
The Minutes of the Annual General Meeting are to be presented to the chapter membership for approval. If there are no relevant additions or comments within a month from the official email announcement, the Minutes will automatically be considered approved.
The presentation materials give further details than the minutes. The presentation by the AIA Intl Board, the meeting meetings and the AGM recording are available via the links below:

Board Officer 2025 Election Update
AIA Intl President, Yew Kee Cheong, noted that one nomination had been received for each open 2025 Board Officer position, and therefore the following were unopposed:
2025 Vice President - Segene Park, AIA
2025-2026 Secretary - Stephanie Kinnick, AIA.
[Note: A motion to affirm the above Board Officers for 2025 was passed. This vote was later determined to be invalid as it was taken without a proper quorum. However, a proper quorum of the Board of Directors voted to validate the election results on July 18, 2024.]
The candidates’ statements are available below:
Fellowship
Finally, the AGM closed with a call encouraging anyone interested in applying for Fellowship or Honorary Fellowship to get in touch. Our Fellowship reps - Steven Miller, FAIA, RIBA; Sherif Anis, FAIA, NCARB, RIBA and George Kunihiro, FAIA - can help with understanding the specific requirements and identify sources of support.
