The AIA Southeast Asia section was established in late 2023, and ever since then, the collaboration of among representatives from neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia has been exceptional. Coordination meetings have been held almost every month, and an active WhatsApp group was created to ensure smooth communication.
Following the successful Summer Symposium in 2023 in Singapore, this year’s annual event was hosted by AIA Vietnam. During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Architectural Association and AIA SEA. The event was attended by around 40 online viewers and about the same number of offline attendees. With five speakers representing each region, from as far as the USA, the event was a huge success.

Upcoming AIA SEA events include local talks and the upcoming Fall Symposium in Manila, where we also plan to launch our first architectural student competition. Stay tuned.
